Which Network?

Sele cting the right network or independent tracking solution is the most important choice you will ever make. Cost - The cost of setting up a programme will vary massively between solutions. You will generally be charged a fee to set-up fee, a monthly fee and surcharge on commissions. It's worth remembering that this is performance based marketing and that the bulk of fees should be paid for generating transactions.

 

Programme Support - To run a programme effectively you will need the help of the network. Are they at the end of the phone, do you get a timely response via email? Do they understand your business model. A network is there to act as a independent tracking and relations manager. They should be helping you maximinising your return on invesyment from affiliates.

 

Affiliate Breakdown - Some networks often attract certain types of affiliates, for example some networks attract more affiliates than other

 

Affiliate Relations - What is the networks relationship with the affiliates. Will all your target affiliates work with this network? and will they perform to the maximum ability. How good is the communication with the affiliates? For example you end a free delivery offer, you need to ensure that this communicated and acted upon.

 

Technology - Do the networks offer everything you and your affiliates need? Product feeds, advanced reporting?
